Obituary- Mr I. Ferguson

We are sad to announce the death on Wednesday 25th May of Mr I Ferguson.
The Funeral service will take place at South Lanarkshire Crematorium on Monday 30th May at 1.15pm. Please remember his family and friends in your prayers at this time.

Saturday 11th June: St John’s Singers Summer Concert in the church at 7.30pm. Tickets priced £5 Adults, Children free.

Sunday 12th June: Holy Communion will be celebrated here at 10.45am, 3.00pm and 6.30pm. Everyone welcome.

Wednesday 15th June: An evening of musical entertainment in the Church at 7.00pm. All proceeds will go to the Musical Memories Dementia Choir. Tickets £5.

The total collected at last Sunday’s Christian Aid lunch amounted to £556.21.

The Hamilton R.N.L.I. Ladies Fund Raising Committee thank all those who supported our Afternoon Tea and Planter Sale. The support shown by the members of the Church was much appreciated. The Committee would like to thank Joanne and members of Session for allowing us the use of the Halls and other facilities. In excess of £1300 was raised for the R.N.L.I. Our next Fund Raising Venture will be a concert by “Shine” on Monday 24th October.

Pentecost Services: 10.45am and 6.30pm. To mark the celebration of
Pentecost, if you wish, please wear something red to either of the services.

Christian Aid Lunch: will take place after Pentecost morning worship. A simple lunch of soup and rolls will be served and you are encouraged to stay and donate the cost of a lunch in the plate in return. If you are unable to attend and wish to make a contribution, plates will be available at the doors as you leave.

Christian Aid Week begins next Sunday 15th May until Saturday 21st May and is fast approaching. I am desperately in need of volunteers for the door to door can collection and can collectors for the Town Centre on Saturday 21st May. Volunteers are also required for the Forum Café on Saturday 21st May and also donations of homebaking for the Cake Stall. If anyone is interested please do not hesitate to contact me on 07739391239. Messy Church
A Messy Church planning meeting will be held in the church after the service to plan for Messy Church. Who is the Holy Spirit which is on Saturday the 14th May from 10.30 – 12.30 pm.
Eco-Congregation:- Cadzow Glen clean up under the bridge at the Library 2 – 3.30 pm. Anyone willing to help is welcome. Any questions please contact Marielle Dodds.

Youth Group
Kenneth Johnston, co-ordinator of the Hyzone Youth Project will be leading our evening to work on a creative project together. Youth Group is for everyone in S1-S6. Even if youve never been before come and join us for this exciting project. Meeting starts at 7.00 pm.
