Information on the Group and activities:

Brownies opens up a world of exciting challenges and the opportunity to try new things and make brilliant friends. Through regular meetings, special events, day trips, and holidays, Brownies enjoy lots games, songs, crafts, explore other cultures and get adventurous outdoors. Brownies are girls aged seven to ten who become a member of a Six and follow a programme called the Brownie Adventure. They make a simple Promise, which they share with members around the world. Once they have made this they can start earning lots of different badges such as Friends to Animals, Swimmers, Dancer, Science Investigator and many others.

In recent years we have been to a pantomime, enjoyed two Brownie Pack Holidays, had a day trip to Heads of Ayr Farmpark, earned a few badges such as the Designer Badge, played many games and learned lots of songs. This year we are looking forward to going another Brownie Pack Holiday, completing a Superhero challenge and forming a Guard of Honour at our leader, Laura Skilling’s, wedding.
If you know a girl aged 7-9 who is interested in becoming a Brownie visit the Girlguiding website and select Get involved and register your interest. The same method can be followed if you wish to become a volunteer or you can contact Lesley Auld directly.
