Harvest Appeal 2019
We are once again being given the opportunity to contribute to the work of ‘Place of Restoration’ and ‘Turn on the Tap’. Our Harvest Appeal was launched on Sunday 1st September and envelopes were distributed with the September magazine and are available at the church doors and in the Forum Café.  These can be placed in the offering plate on a Sunday or in the treasurer’s box outside the office at other times.

Crossreach Calendars 2020
Time to place your orders for the Crossreach Pictorial Calendars for 2020.
Marion Baird will be in the Forum after the close of Church service on Sundays 6th, 13th and 20th October and will be pleased to take your order of a calendar to help support the work of Crossreach in this their 150 year of providing social care in Scotland. Thank you for supporting Crossreach in this way.

 7.00 p.m. St John’s Guild – This is the first meeting of the new session. Everyone is welcome to come along. Please note earlier starting time on this occasion.

Tuesday 8th October 2019
1.30 p.m. Friendly Hour in the Centenary Hall. Everyone is welcome to come along.
7.30 p.m. S.A.L.T. in the Millennium Room. This is our first meeting of the new session. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Thursday 10th October 2019
10.30 a.m. Bible Study Group in the Youth Room. This group meets weekly. Please come along and join us.
12.15 p.m. Midweek Service in the Church Sanctuary. The services last 15 – 30 minutes. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Saturday 12th October 2019
Centre closed for the October Holiday and will reopen on Monday 21st October.10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. Messy Church. The theme of this event is I Am.  It would help with planning if you could let us know if you are coming along.  Contact us at stjohnsmessychurch@gmail.com or via our Facebook page Messy Church at St John’s Hamilton.
1.30 p.m. -3.30 p.m. Sing with Swing Choir. Anyone who is interested is very welcome.

7.30 p.m. Caledonian Male Voice Choir Concert
This concert is taking place in Blantyre: Old Parish Church  Tickets are £5 and include refreshments. For more information please contact Anne Keddie.

Safeguard Training

Volunteer Safeguarding Training
The volunteer safeguard training in Strathaven has been rescheduled. It will be  held in Strathaven Trinity on Wednesday 30th October from 7.00 p.m. till 9.00 p.m.. If you would like to attend please contact Ann Auld

Saturday 7th December
10.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon A Volunteer Training Event will be held at Airdrie Jackson.

Operation Christmas Child: Shoebox Appeal
The shoeboxes for this year’s appeal will be available after the service on 22nd September and each Sunday thereafter at a cost of 50p. The filled boxes will be collected after the service on 17th November.
