The Mini Cubs meet in the Centenary Hall, on Friday nights from 6.00 p.m. – 7.00 p.m, September – June
The Mini Cubs are essentially a St John’s Church organisation formed in 1968 to cater for boys aged 5 to 8 years. The Mini Cubs are not affiliated to the Scout Association but on attaining the age of 8 years the majority of boys graduate into the Cub Scouts at St Johns. Meetings take place in the Centenary Hall every Friday evening and sessions run from the first week in September until the second week of June each year.
These meetings are largely fun nights with competitive games generating a genuine team spirit among the boys who are divided into teams. We have a monthly award for the best team in terms of attendance, team performance…and behaviour!
We have Halloween and Christmas parties and a fun outing to Chatelherault Park (weather permitting) at the end of the session.
