Spectacular milestone : We welcomed our 100th child to Messy Church at St John’s on 1st October 2016!

We meet 6 times a year on Saturday mornings from 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

We start off in the Clyde Room for the welcome activities and then move into the Centenary Hall for the crafts and activities followed by the Celebration in the Church. Lunch is then served in either the Clyde Room or Centenary Hall.

Information on the Group and activities:
Messy Church started in St Johns on March 29th 2014 where 10 families attended. We have now reached 35 different families since we started and with every new Messy Church a new family joins us.
A typical Messy Church morning begins in the welcome room where there are games, colouring in, play doh and various other activites to gather us all before me move to the Centenary Hall where there will be about 8 different crafts and some activities to take part in all related to our theme of that Messy Church. We have explored lots of stories in the bible, made lots of mess and ate lots of tasty food.

Some favourite crafts and activities have been walking in paint, creating a Pentecost dove mobile, sand volcanoes, advent candles, “hobby donkeys”, stained glass effect crosses, flame headbands, edible boats, rainbow cupcakes and a Nativity Scene photo booth.

If it sounds like something you’d want to come along to please join us for any of the events mentioned above and let us know you are coming along on the email address below.
