Christian Aid Week this year runs from Sunday 14 May until Saturday 20 May 2017 and is fast approaching. I am desperately in need of volunteers for the door to door can collection and can collectors for the Town Centre on Saturday 21 May. Volunteers are also required for the Forum Café on Saturday 20 May and for the home baking stall from 12 noon – 2.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. Also donations of homebaking for the Cake Stall. If anyone is interested please do not hesitate to contact me by email

No Evening Service – This is to allow people to attend the following service:
Hamilton South and Quarter are hosting a Thanksgiving/ Praise evening on Sunday 7th May at 6.30 p.m. at South Church,( 1 Mill Rd, Hamilton ML3 8AA) the praise will be followed by fellowship over tea and coffee. The Thanksgiving is in response to the unity shared by Hamilton Churches throughout Holy week, and we extend a warm welcome to all.
Tuesday 9th May
7.30 p.m Pentecost Dramatisation As part of a joint evening service on Sunday 4th June, there will be a vignette, similar in format to the Passion Play, which dramatises Pentecost. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays at 7.30 p.m. in Hamilton Old Parish Church on 9th, 16th and (possibly) 30th May as well as the afternoon of Sunday 4th June. Anyone is very welcome to be involved. Perhaps you saw the Passion Play and would have liked to have been part of it – well, now’s your chance! Everyone will be made very welcome. Come along to rehearsals or email
Thursday 11th May
12.15 p.m. Midweek Service in the Church Sanctuary. The service will last about 15-30 minutes, so please come along and invite a friend.
Sunday 14th May
10.45 a.m. Worship Led by Lynette Jardine
Christian Aid Lunch: will take place after morning worship. A simple lunch of soup and rolls will be served and you are encouraged to stay and donate the cost of a lunch in the plate in return. If you are unable to attend and wish to make a contribution, plates will be available at the doors as you leave.
6.30 p.m. Evening Service led by Fiona Anderson M Ireland & A Grant will welcome you.
- The Brownies are collecting Sainsbury’s Active kids vouchers again this year. There is a box in the Forum where they can be donated. Thank you for your support.
