2.00 p.m. Avonbridge Care Home – Monthly service at the home. All welcome.

5.15-6.15 p.m. Food For Thought – Lent Discussion Group in the Forum.

6.30 p.m. Evening Worship F Anderson & I Brown will welcome you.

Tuesday 4th April

7.00 p.m. Rehearsals for this year’s Passion Play (directed by Liz Blackman) will be in Hamilton Old Parish Church every Tuesday evening. It is never too late to join rehearsals and become part of our town’s first Passion Play and is also NOT necessary to be available every week. For more information contact Liz or Ross Blackman.

Thursday 6th April

10.30 a.m. Bible Study – weekly  in the Avon Room.

12.15 p.m. Midweek Service in the Church Sanctuary with Rev Norman McKee who will play the piano to accompany the hymns.  The service will last about 15-30 minutes, so please come along and invite a friend.

12.30 p.m. until lunch at 1.00 p.m. The Hamilton Churches are coming together to act out the Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem with street theatre down Quarry Street.

No Evening Service due to Hamilton Churches Holy Week Service at the Old Parish

Christian Aid Week this year runs from Sunday 14 May until Saturday 20 May 2017 and is fast approaching.  I am desperately in need of volunteers for the door to door can collection and can collectors for the Town Centre on Saturday 21 May.  Volunteers are also required for the Forum Café on  Saturday 20 May and also donations of home baking for the Cake Stall.

1.30 p.m.  Friendly Hour – This our final meeting of this session, starts earlier than usual  with our A.G.M. followed by Musical Memories, cost £3.

7.00 – 8.30 p.m. Putting the Fun in Fundraising! The Brownies, Guides and Senior Section are holding a fundraising event to raise money for our Brownies 90th Birthday Camp. There will be coffee/ tea and cakes provided and we will have some raffles (prizes donated by local businesses) and games to take part in.  Tickets cost £2 and are available at the door on the night or from Lesley Auld.

  • The Brownies are collecting Sainsbury’s Active kids vouchers again this year. There is a box in the Forum where they can be donated. Thank you for your support.

St John’s Centre Magazine – All material for the April issue of themagazine is to be with the editor TODAY, NO LATER.  If you have any items you wish to be included (special events, celebrations, birthdays etc) items can be left in the top right basket marked Magazine Editors in the rack outside the office, or by email 

The Brownies are collecting Sainsbury’s Active kids vouchers again this year. There is a box in the Forum where they can be donated. Thank you for your support.

2.00-4.00 p.m.Eco-Congregation – Cadzow Glen clean-up under the bridge at the library   Anyone willing to help is welcome, just wear sturdy shoes and old clothes.  Litter pickers and bags will be provided; please contact Marielle Dodds if you have any questions.
