Sunday 4th December
10.45 a.m. Morning Worship – 2nd Sunday in Advent & Gift Service.
Donations of Christmas gifts will be collected today. Changes have been made to the rules, and this year we are being asked to donate brand new toys and gifts, or gift vouchers. Please do not wrap any of your gifts as they need to be sorted into suitable age ranges.
St John’s ‘Centre’ & Life & Work are both available today for distribution.
2.00 p.m. Avonbridge Care Home – Monthly service at the home
6.30 p.m. Evening Service E Gordon & C Woodburn will welcome you at the door.
Monday 5th December
7.30 p.m. Joint meeting of the Guild & St John’s Fellowship – entertainment by Our Lady’s High Operatic & Drama Club. Supper.
Tuesday 6th December
1.30 -3.00 p.m. Friendly Hour – Festive Treat, when we will be entertained by the Church Choir. Please note earlier start time of 1.30 p.m. Cost £3.
Wednesday 7th December
10.00 a.m. Senior Member Christmas Gifts – Could the Committee please meet in the Millennium Room, the gifts should be ready for distribution by 10.30 a.m.As in the past, we are looking for volunteers to help with this rewarding task. Thursday 8th December
10.30 a.m. Bible Study – weekly in the Avon Room. This session we will be looking at less well known people in the Bible Story.
12.15 p.m. Midweek Service in the Church sanctuary. The service will last about 15-30 minutes, so please come along and invite a friend.
Friday 9th December
7.30 p.m. Carols by Candlelight in Hamilton Old Parish Church. Tickets including refreshments £5, children free.
Sunday 11th December
10.45 a.m. Morning Worship Third Sunday in Advent
2.30 p.m. Carols for Christmas in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support being held in Cadzow Parish Church. Tickets £5 children free. Doors open 2.00 p.m.
6.30 p.m. Evening Service J MacIntyre & S Thomson will be on door duty.
7.30 p.m. Youth Group meets
Tuesday 13th December
2.00 p.m -3.30 p.m. Friendly Hour. Our last meeting of 2016 is Christmas Carols with Rev Joanne Hood. Please come along and enjoy a good sing
7.30 p.m. SALT Bible Study – This will be our last meeting until January.
Thursday 15th December
12:15 p.m. Midweek Service in the Church sanctuary. This week is our Carol Service, when we will be joined by Rev Joanne Hood, Rev Ross Blackman and Anne MacLeod our Musical Director. Please come along and join us for this our final service of the year, everyone is welcome to join us.
